Intro to Outdoor Climbing

CSW_2017_SMM_SmithRockIntro_Sept-16.jpg

At the intro to outdoor climbing clinic we will teach the basic skills required to climb outside.

There are three main skills we will teach throughout the day: tying into the rope using a figure-eight follow through, belaying a climber on top-rope, and movement skills on the rock.

After teaching the basics we will set up multiple ropes to provide each climber the opportunity to safely practice their new skills.
