Meet your guides

Savannah Manning

During university, Savannah was introduced to rock climbing and was immediately hooked. From bouldering to big walls she has accomplished objectives all over North America. Turning her passion into a career she brought the SMM mission to the East Coast to bring more opportunities for women in climbing. Her contagious enthusiasm will have you captivated by the outdoors and have you sucked into the sport of rock climbing. She’s also a fan of all things Carl Sagan so space nerds delight.

Brooke Hadden

Brooke has been playing and climbing in Chattanooga and the Southeastern region for 12 years. She was most recently based out of St. George, Utah for 3 years, where she worked as a Wilderness Field Instructor and gained experience on desert sandstone, limestone, and granite. She was drawn back to the Southeast to guide with She Moves Mountains and help operate a sustainable homestead farm in Trenton, Ga, where she cultivates and chefs her own Farm to Table produce. Though she misses telemark skiing in the Wasatch and romping up alpine granite, the sweet southern sandstone has her heart.

Yoga

Yoga will be offered four times during the retreat by Peace.Strength.Yoga

Rock climber, yogi, and owner of PSY- Kaylee Frano, is a 500 hour certified yoga teacher with over 4000 hours of teacher training. We are excited to have her start our mornings out with one-hour long yoga sessions each day.

Meals

Healthy eating is imperative to a healthy life and at our retreat we make it a priority to provide the best tasting food with the highest quality of ingredients.

Over the weekend our chef Brooke will cook breakfast and dinner, providing alternatives for anyone with dietary restrictions. We’re partnering with local companies and farms like Land to Table and Nourish Point to provide not only high quality but sustainably sourced ingredients.

And dessert. We firmly believe that dessert is essential to a happy life.

Training Tips

w/ Bethany Macke

Personal training and experienced climber Bethany Macke, will be joining us during the retreat!

An excellent and supportive instructor with over a decade of fitness and climbing experience she will give a Q & A workshop centered around training tips and recovery. She has certifications as a Resistance Training Specialist, Jumpstart Trainer, and Muscle Activation Technique. She’ll discuss workout techniques you can use to further your climbing endeavors or other endeavors in fitness.
